- I just installed the user version of AmiFile Safe. Thought I'd
- pass along a couple of "tips" that might help someone a bit...
-
- First, if you buy the cheaper "user" version of AFS, there is a
- README file on the diskette that you should read. It has some
- supplemental instructions for the user version that aren't in the
- printed manual.
-
- The major problem I had (aside from the installation manual being
- a bit sparse), was that when I used HDToolBox to install the new
- file system, after I typed text into the various requester boxes I
- failed to press the Enter key! I figured that if I clicked on the
- requester box, typed the text, then clicked on OK, that would be
- sufficient. But you have to actually press Enter after typing the
- text to have the text accepted.
-
- I installed it two days ago. AFS seems to be running fine. Directory
- listings fly onto the screen, etc.
-
- They recommend using 200-300K of buffer space, so I chose 300K. Has
- anyone tried using much less than this?
